Her twin siblings, Luna & Timmy, who star in the series as themselves, were left at a kill shelter at only 2 months old & were adopted by Ashley & her sister Emily.

Detective B inspires readers of all ages to become a real-life superhero.

Founded in 2019, Parker's Promise Foundation is named after Ashley's late rescue Shih Tzu, Parker aka Furbie. Ashley & her sister Emily adopted him in 2011 after he was thrown against a 711 dumpster & left to die. The Parker The Wonder Dog book tells his story through his perspective to prevent animal abuse. We send copies to schools via The Emily Korff Legacy Fund.

Emily Korff passed in 2023 after an 11-year battle with several rare conditions, & Parker passed in 2024 after a battle with kidney failure.

Our Story

Detective B is a mystery book series for all ages, based on my real-life pet rescue rabbits Bambi, Luna, & Timmy. Part of proceeds benefits Parker's Promise Foundation, my late Shih Tzu, Parker's, nonprofit.

Parker's Promise Foundation makes the world safer & happier for animals of all kinds via his book, Parker The Wonder Dog, & public education initiatives on social media.

Parker was adopted by Ashley & her late sister Emily in August 2011. He had been beaten & thrown against a 711 dumpster, & found by an employee who got help for him.

Parker was deemed a "last chance" pup because of his emotional trauma & severe distrust of humans. Within a few months, he trusted Ashley & Emily, & found his furever home.

About one year after bringing Parker home, Emily became terminally ill with rare autoimmune & GI conditions. She passed away on May 17th, 2023, & Ashley founded her legacy fund within Parker's Promise.

The Emily Korff Legacy Fund ships copies of Parker The Wonder Dog to schools for free. Emily's original career plan before becoming terminally ill as a teenager was to be a kindergarten teacher.

Parker became terminally ill with kidney failure in early 2024, and passed away on July 29th, 2024. He lived for 13 more years than the mere 2 he would've received originally.

His favorite hobbies included spending time with Ashley & Emily, taking naps on the couch, taking walks outside, & helping save wildlife from the backyard pool by alerting a human to net them out. His final saves were a cricket, spider, & mole. He had dozens of saves, including a pregnant squirrel in the gutter.

Ashley first rescue bunny, Coco, was only 5 months old at the shelter, & he found his furever home with her until he passed away on October 6th, 2017. He was a pet influencer before it was trending & loved his beach hat, mini palm tree, with Jimmy Buffett music playing.

Twin bunnies Luna & Timmy were only 2 months old at a kill shelter, & they were rescued by Ashley shortly after Coco's death. The shelter was willing to let them go separately, but both found their furever home that day.

The twins co-star in the Detective B book series as themselves. Luna is the mastermind of the twins' adventures, and Timmy is just happy to be included. Luna loves all things flamingos, & Timmy loves his duck & purple monkey stuffies.

Bambi, aka Detective B, was hand rescued by Ashley after she was dumped outside in July 2018. Bambi has long been a fan of making social media videos with Ashley, & is known on social media for her expressive faces & sassy head turns.

She stars as Detective B in the book series. In between solving cases, she mixes tunes as DJ B, a beloved side plot adored by her social media friends.

Bambi, Luna, & Timmy, help Ashley with the Detective B series & social media (in between naps in the sun of course).

The series began with an idea from one of Ashley's fitness program social media graphics, where Bambi was in a little detective hat holding a magnifying glass.

Ashley is a biologist & has loved animals her entire life, especially bunnies, & wished she had had a Detective B book as a kid. Most of her other brands are also true crime/mystery themed.

And the rest is history.
